Had been a very warm
day. Took off from Howgate but could
have taken off almost anywhere. Easy
smooth flying. Wind dropped to SSE 10
when I landed. 9:00 pm |

NNE 8-12 according to
the talker, more NE 10-15 at take off at W end of bolw on N Tinto. Got sronger and more E so didn’t fly, so

I was at Broughton on
Sat the 12th about 6:30. It
was blowing 16-25. Earlier TT said SW
9-14. Called again from Broughton and

WEST |
General note. I’ve found on quite a few occasions, when
the wind is from the West the TT tends to under read. I’ve been at the mast in these conditions
and it would seem the wind is just light at the mast but blowing most other
places. |

Flying was lumpy and
dangerous on Howgate, varying 5-15 (thermals pulling up hill) to E (rotary
right off green hill) Conditions
were, high pressure, sunny blue – 6:30pm.
