- The various weather readings are captured using a highly configurable array of telemetry devices.
- Information is then passed to the WindTalker controller. It's powered by a solar panel and has a rechargeable backup battery. The solar panel generates enough power during the day to allow the device to keep transmitting weather information throughout the night and during periods of poor weather.
- At regular intervals, the data is submitted over a wireless mobile network. Weather station owners can use any mobile network operator however we would suggest using the network with the strongest signal strength at the site of the weather station. If a site survey is required, we would recommend the most suitable mobile carrier.
- The weather information is then authenticated and stored in our database. Subscribers to the weather information can then access it via our secure weather web site or programmatically via our APIs.
